Charles (Chuck)'s Story
This is a short story!
I served 11 years 2 months, and 28 days is the U.S. Army. Served at Ft. Lewis, (Tacoma) WA; Ft. Bliss, (ElPaso) Tx; Darmstad, Germany; and Hurlburt Field, (Ft. Walton Beach) FL.
Was seperated from the Army shortly before the first Gulf War (1990).
I have been married to my bride, Ruth, since 1983, and we will celebrate our 26th Anniversary in March 2009. We have no children, but we currently have 6 cats. As Ruth says, "we have four footed children."
We live in the National Capital area outside of Washington D.C.

s call a "Beltway Bandit." That means I work for one of the professional services companies that do studies and analysis and technical work for DoD and the Federal Agencies. Been doing this for the last 18 years.
Ruth works as a receptionist and bookseller.
We have a modest townhome in one the bedroom communities in Sterling, Virginia.
For those of you who remember my folks, Pop died in May 2006, Mom is still going, and lives at the Presbyterian Home in Springfield, IL. She is only about four blocks from my borther George's place.
